Thank you. I would like to do it, but it results in fewer downloads for some reason.
That's because you're forcing people to download it immediately.
Most gamers want to store thier games on Itch or Steam servers.
I think it's rather because people are confused when they see "Download or claim" button.
Its probably because (lik i do) most people just claim the game, and then forget that they claimed it, (or like dibdob1 said, they just store it)
If they need to download it immediatly, there is still a higher chance that they will play it, but some people will get turned off by nto seeing a claim button.
So the download statistic will pretty mutch always be lower if you set it to claim, but more people will get your game if it is on claim.
Idk the stats, but this is just from my experience.
